Job summary

Helping Hands Family in Pittsburgh, PA invites applicants to join as a BCBA Fellowship in Mt. Lebanon.

The role provides paid supervision hours through a structured clinical program and involves one-on-one ABA interventions to teach communication, daily living skills, and positive behaviors. Fellows will work under BCBA mentorship, complete supervised practice, and advance toward BCBA eligibility, with a comprehensive 7-level program and paid RBT training.

Qualifications

• Enrollment or graduation from a BACB-approved master’s or certification program.
• BACB-approved exam pass rate criteria for HHF’s program.
• Pass the RBT exam within 30 days of employment.
• Active RBT certification for 60 days with HHF.
• Strong verbal and written communication with families and notes.
• Paid supervised field work with BCBA mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Build a positive and trusting relationship with clients through social interaction.
• Encourage development of communication, social skills and problem-solving.
• Gradually reduce prompts to promote independence.
• Increase desirable behaviors with positive reinforcement.
• Accurately collect unbiased behavior data.
• Communicate with RBTs, BCBAs, families, and Clinical Directors.
• Observe and collect data.
• Train staff and caregivers on behavior-analytic programs.
• Conduct assessments (e.g., functional analyses, stimulus preference assessments).
• Review literature relevant to client programming.
• Write and revise behavior-analytic programs.
• Maintain BACB Ethical Compliance Code for RBTs and client dignity.
• Work with BCBA mentor during fellowship.
