Job summary

Helping Hands Family in Philadelphia offers a BCBA Fellowship focused on field work, providing paid supervision hours through a structured clinical program and one-on-one ABA interventions to teach communication and daily living skills.

Fellows will be eligible to complete BACB requirements to sit for the BCBA exam, with mentoring and comprehensive training including RBT prep and ongoing supervision. The program emphasizes ethical practice and client dignity within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication for speaking with families and recording session notes.
• Program must have BACB approved status and sufficient exam pass rate.

Responsibilities

• Build a positive and trusting relationship with clients through social interaction.
• Encourage development of communication, social skills, and problem-solving by guiding clients toward safe and acceptable behaviors.
• Gradually reduce prompts to promote independent responses while ensuring success.
• Increase the occurrence and duration of desirable behaviors by providing positive reinforcement.
• Accurately collect unbiased behavior data.
• Communicate proactively with fellow RBTs, BCBAs, families, and Clinical Directors to support clients’ needs.
• Observe and collect data.
• Train staff and caregivers on behavior-analytic programs.
• Conduct behavior-analytic assessments (e.g., functional analyses, stimulus preference assessments).
• Research literature relevant to a client’s programming.
• Write and revise behavior-analytic programs.
• Maintain BACB Ethical Compliance Code for RBTs and client dignity.
• Work with BCBA Mentor on guided practice of the BCBA role throughout Fellowship.
• Paid RBT training, competency & exam.
• Meaningful unrestricted clinical experience
• FREE access to Behavior Development Solutions exam prep
• Participation in choosing, implementing, and scoring assessments
• 3 months of co-consulting with a BCBA for 30 hours / week
