Redwood Smoke Shack is seeking an Immediate Prep Cook to join our team in Suffolk, VA. You will help prep house-made sides, sauces, and desserts, and trim meat in a fast-paced, Texas-inspired BBQ environment.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• 3 years experience in high volume kitchens.
• Excellent knife skills.
• Be culinary professional with a passion for food and barbeque.
• Be articulate and able to listen and communicate effectively.
• Be able to self-manage, prioritize tasks and plan your shift accordingly.
• Possess an excellent work ethic and desire to learn and continually grow.
• Have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of our house made sides, sauces, desserts as well as meat trimming.
• Ensure the quality of the product received and made.
