Job summary

ACGBBQ, LLC., a Sonny’s BBQ licensee, is seeking a Prep person to handle back-of-house operations and ensure top-quality food preparation. You’ll play a key role in maintaining sanitation, proper food handling, and consistent standards with a focus on guest satisfaction.

You will train with the team, manage tasks efficiently, and contribute to catering events while supporting management in daily kitchen activities. This is a full-time, on-site position at a Sonny’s BBQ location.

Qualifications

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Can be calm under pressure.
• Efficient time management and following procedures.
• Able to work with smokers and hot boxes.
• Able to stand for long periods.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Attend ongoing training or certification programs required by the company or state.

Responsibilities

• Follow all policies to ensure food is prepared and cooked to quality standards.
• Rotate cooked and uncooked products correctly.
• Adhere to sanitary guidelines; BOH areas must be clean.
• Work with GM to monitor pars for ordered quantities.
• Assist in receiving and storing incoming products.
• Execute all Caterings, including Tier 2/higher end events.
• Understand food cost and waste reduction.
• Train BOH team on proper cooking and reheating standards.
• Communicate challenges to management; address guest concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
