Job summary

Athena Health Care Systems in Middletown (Wadsworth Glen Health Care and Rehabilitation Center) is hiring a Nursing Supervisor for weekend nights (7p-7a every other weekend). Must be an RN with an active CT license and CPR certification; compensation is $60 per hour with weekly pay.

As RN supervisor you direct total nursing care under the Director of Nursing Services to ensure high-quality resident care, maintain care plans, follow physician orders, supervise Charge Nurse and CNAs, administer

Qualifications

• Must hold current, unencumbered RN license in the state.
• Minimum nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Meet residents' nursing and rehabilitation needs.
• Maintain current resident care plans for all residents.
• Follow physician’s orders and provide complete nursing care.
• Transcribe physician orders promptly and accurately.
• Review patient records daily for accuracy and completeness.
• Document comprehensive nursing notes.
• Maintain awareness of residents on alert and document RN assessments.
• Document and report significant findings; contact physicians as needed.
• Administer medications according to procedure.
• Initiate emergency procedures when necessary.
• Oversee Charge Nurse and CNA performances.
• Contribute to positive resident and family relations.

We are hiring a baylor weekend Nursing Supervisor to join our dynamic care team at Wadsworth Glen Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Middletown!

7p-7a every other weekend. $60 an hour with weekly pay. Must be an RN.

As a registered nurse supervisor, you direct the total nursing care activities in the facility during each of shift of duty under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services to ensure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Experience & Education

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN in this state.
• Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursing, college, or university.
• Must be CPR certified.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident.
• Maintain current resident care plans on all residents under his/her care.
• Follow physician’s orders. Renders and/or assists with complete nursing care, treatments, dressings, and other physician orders.
• Transcribe physician’s orders promptly and accurately.
• Review patient records daily to assure accuracy and completeness.
• Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes.
• Maintain accurate awareness of residents on alert list/conduct and document RN assessments as needed.
• Document and report any unusual or significant findings; contact the physician when necessary.
• Administer medication according to procedure if applicable.
• Initiate any and all emergency procedures as necessary.
• Conduct oversight of Charge Nurse and CNA performances.
• Contributes to and promotes positive resident and family relations.
