Job summary

Athena Health Care Systems is seeking a Baylor weekend Nursing Supervisor to join Wadsworth Glen Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Middletown, CT. The role runs 7p-7a every other weekend, with pay at $60 per hour and weekly payroll.

Must be an RN to lead total nursing care under the Director of Nursing Services. As supervisor, you direct nursing activities, ensure high-quality resident care, coordinate with physicians, and oversee Charge Nurse and CNA staff while fostering positive

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered RN license in the state.
• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited school.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct total nursing care activities on each shift.
• Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of residents.
• Maintain resident care plans for all under care.
• Follow physician orders and provide comprehensive nursing care.
• Transcribe and review physician orders accurately.
• Document nursing notes and assessments regularly.
• Oversee RN/Charge Nurse and CNA performance.
• Report significant findings to the physician as needed.
• Administer medications per procedure and respond to emergencies.
• Promote positive relations with residents and families.

We are hiring a baylor weekend Nursing Supervisor to join our dynamic care team at Wadsworth Glen Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Middletown!

7p-7a every other weekend. $60 an hour with weekly pay. Must be an RN.

As a registered nurse supervisor, you direct the total nursing care activities in the facility during each of shift of duty under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services to ensure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Experience & Education:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN in this state.
• Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursing, college, or university.
• Must be CPR certified.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident.
• Maintain current resident care plans on all residents under his/her care.
• Follow physician’s orders. Renders and/or assists with complete nursing care, treatments, dressings, and other physician orders.
• Transcribe physician’s orders promptly and accurately.
• Review patient records daily to assure accuracy and completeness.
• Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes.
• Maintain accurate awareness of residents on alert list/conduct and document RN assessments as needed.
• Document and report any unusual or significant findings; contact the physician when necessary.
• Administer medication according to procedure if applicable.
• Initiate any and all emergency procedures as necessary.
• Conduct oversight of Charge Nurse and CNA performances.
• Contributes to and promotes positive resident and family relations.
