Job summary

Southeast Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in North Easton is seeking a Weekend Nursing Supervisor (7a-7p). The role directs total nursing care during the shift, ensuring high-quality resident care under the Director of Nursing Services. License in this state and CPR certification are required.

Responsibilities include care-plan development, staff supervision, accurate documentation, and prompt physician communication. Competitive weekly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered LPN or RN license in this state.
• CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in hospital, long-term care, or related health care facility.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
• Must have accurate assessment skills and knowledge of restorative nursing policies.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted and work with diverse teams.
• Ability to interact tactfully with staff, residents, families, visitors, and external agencies.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, LT care laws and guidelines.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory abilities.

Responsibilities

• Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident.

• Ensure staff implement care plans and recognize changes in resident status.
• Maintain current resident care plans on all residents under your care.
• Transcribe physician orders promptly and accurately.
• Review patient records daily for accuracy and completeness.
• Document nursing notes comprehensively and maintain resident alert status.
• Document and report unusual findings; contact the physician when necessary.
• Administer medications according to procedures if applicable.
• Initiate emergency procedures as needed and promote positive resident relations.
• Other duties may be assigned by manager.

Baylor Weekend Nursing Supervisor -- 7a-7p

Weekly pay! $38 to $45 an hour, depending on license.

Join our dynamic care team at Southeast Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in North Easton! As the every-other-weekend Nursing Supervisor, you will direct the total nursing care activities in the facility during each shift of duty under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services to ensure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident
• Participate in developing, updating, and communicating residents' care plans
• Assure staff is implementing care plans, performing care activities appropriately, and recognizes changes in resident status
• Maintain current resident care plans on all residents under his/her care
• Transcribe physician's orders promptly and accurately
• Review patient records daily to assure accuracy and completeness
• Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes
• Maintain accurate awareness of residents on alert list/conduct and document RN assessments as needed
• Document and report any unusual or significant findings; contact the physician when necessary
• Administer medication according to procedure if applicable
• Initiate any and all emergency procedures as necessaryContribute to and promote positive resident and family relations
• Other duties may be assigned by manager

Requirements:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN or RN in this state
• Must be CPR certified
• Must have as a minimum, one (1) year experience in a hospital, long-term care facility or other related health care facility (preferable)
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Must possess accurate and comprehensive assessment skills
• Must have knowledge of restorative nursing and rehabilitation policies and utilizes appropriately
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long term care
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel
