Location: Woodbury, CT | Schedule: Full-time, on-site, weekend shifts (7:00 AM–3:00 PM or 3:00 PM–11:00 PM) with optional Baylor weekend-double schedule
Overview
An established, mission-driven healthcare and senior living provider in Connecticut is seeking a clinically sound Weekend RN Supervisor to lead weekend nursing operations. This role provides on-site clinical leadership, triage oversight, and administrative support to charge nurses, floor nurses, and CNAs, ensuring continuity of care, regulatory compliance, and resident safety across weekend shifts.
What you'll do
- Supervise and direct weekend nursing operations, ensuring person-centered care aligned with individualized care plans and physician orders
- Conduct routine rounds across clinical units to monitor resident conditions, medication administration, infection control, and staff workflows
- Provide rapid clinical decision-making during resident status changes, acute clinical events, or facility operational issues
- Assist floor staff with weekend admissions, transfers, room assignments, and hospital discharge orders
- Serve as a clinical resource, coach, and mentor to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, fostering teamwork and shift accountability
- Ensure accurate, timely electronic medical record (EMR) documentation in compliance with Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) and CMS regulations
Required qualifications
- Current, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Connecticut
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of clinical nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF), long-term care (LTC), or sub-acute rehabilitation environment
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage shift priorities, and make critical decisions during weekend hours
- Hands-on experience using Electronic Medical Record systems (e.g., PointClickCare) for clinical documentation and order entries
Preferred qualifications
- Prior supervisory, unit manager, desk nurse, or charge nurse experience in a long-term care setting strongly preferred
