Job summary

Athena Health Care Systems is seeking an Evening Nursing Supervisor for Wadsworth Glen Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Middletown. This full-time RN role offers a Monday–Friday schedule at $49 per hour, with shift differentials.

You will oversee nursing staff under the Director of Nursing Services, ensure high-quality resident care, and maintain care plans. Responsibilities include documenting RN assessments, transcribing orders, and ensuring compliance with physician’s orders.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active, unencumbered RN license in Connecticut.
• Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing, college, or university.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident.
• Maintain current resident care plans for all residents under your supervision.
• Follow physician's orders and provide complete nursing care, treatments, dressings, and other orders.
• Transcribe physician's orders promptly and accurately.
• Review patient records daily for accuracy and completeness.
• Document comprehensive nursing notes and maintain awareness of residents on alert.
• Document and report unusual findings and contact the physician as needed.

Job Summary:

As a Nursing Supervisor, you will work under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services to ensure the highest degree of quality resident care is maintained at all times. Your responsibilities will include meeting the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident, maintaining accurate resident care plans, and ensuring compliance with physician's orders.

Responsibilities:

• Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident
• Maintain current resident care plans on all residents under your care
• Follow physician's orders and render complete nursing care, treatments, dressings, and other physician orders
• Transcribe physician's orders promptly and accurately
• Review patient records daily to assure accuracy and completeness
• Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes
• Maintain accurate awareness of residents on alert list/conduct and document RN assessments as needed
• Document and report any unusual or significant findings and contact the physician when necessary

Requirements:

• Must possess an active and unencumbered RN license in the state
• Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursing, college, or university
• Must be CPR certified
