Job summary

Parsons Hill Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Worcester is hiring an every-other-weekend RN Nursing Supervisor to oversee resident care from 7a-7p at $50 an hour. You will direct the total nursing care activities, develop and communicate resident care plans, ensure staff follow plans, and maintain accurate nursing documentation.

Applicants must hold an active MA RN license, CPR certification, and at least 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting, with strong leadership

Qualifications

• MA RN license required.
• CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in hospital/long-term care setting.
• Strong assessment skills and knowledge of restorative nursing policies.
• Ability to make independent decisions and work with staff and families.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and long-term care regulations.
• Leadership and supervisory ability.

Responsibilities

• Direct total nursing care activities with the Director of Nursing Services.
• Develop, update, and communicate resident care plans.
• Ensure staff follow care plans and perform activities correctly.
• Maintain resident care plans and respond to changes in status.
• Follow physician orders and transmit promptly.
• Document comprehensive nursing notes.
• Administer medications per procedure.
• Initiate emergency procedures as needed.
• Oversee Charge Nurses and CNAs.
• Foster positive resident and family relations.

Parsons Hill Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Worcester is hiring an every-other-weekend RN Nursing Supervisor!

7a-7p at $50 an hour.

As our RN Nursing Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest level of quality resident care is maintained at all times. We are a 162-bed skilled nursing facility with a large SUDS population.

Job Responsibilities:

• Direct the total nursing care activities in the facility, working closely with the Director of Nursing Services

• Develop, update, and communicate resident care plans

• Ensure staff is implementing care plans and performing care activities appropriately

• Maintain current resident care plans and respond to changes in resident status

• Follow physician orders and transmit them promptly and accurately

• Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes

• Administer medication according to procedure, if applicable

• Initiate emergency procedures as needed

• Conduct oversight of Charge Nurses and CNA performances

• Contribute to positive resident and family relations

Requirements:

• Current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN in Massachusetts

• CPR certification

• Minimum one (1) year experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or related healthcare facility

• Strong assessment skills and knowledge of restorative nursing and rehabilitation policies

• Ability to make independent decisions and deal tactfully with personnel, residents, and families

• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care

• Leadership and supervisory ability, with a willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel
