Permanent Placements is a legal recruiting firm focused on direct placements of attorneys, legal staff, and business professionals. We work with many of the world’s largest law firms as well as regional and boutique firms in certain markets. Our goal is to help advance the careers of our candidates while contributing to the success of the organizations we work with. Career advancement means different things to different people, and we seek to understand our candidates’ objectives before consulting them on the job landscape and preparing their applications. Our candidates can expect transparency about compensation, work/life balance, and growth opportunities. We leverage our firm relationships and thoroughly prepare candidates to give them the best chance of getting an interview and offer.
We support many major law firms in the San Francisco and Silicon Valley area and are consistently asked to support Legal Secretary hiring. These firms tend to have 100+ attorneys across multiples offices (either regionally, nationally, or internationally). Salary, culture, and team structure will vary by client and position; however, we receive the most requests for candidates with 5+ years of Legal Secretary experience at a large law firm.
Typically, our clients are looking for candidates with at least 5+ years of Legal Secretary experience at a large law firm supporting at least three attorneys at a time. They like to see candidates who spend at least a few years in a given role and don’t have a pattern of jumping positions. Candidates can have experience in either Litigation or Transactional law but should be organized and experience handling administrative duties (including calendaring, time entry, travel arrangements, processing invoices and expenses, etc.) and using related software. Candidates should be proactive, professional and bring a high attention to detail.
