Job summary

Brilliant Corners is seeking a Director of Housing Services for the San Francisco Bay Area to provide strategic and operational leadership across San Francisco and San Mateo counties. You will oversee a complex portfolio of programs, funding streams, and service models, with accountability for performance, fiscal stewardship, and high-quality service delivery.

The role requires guiding two Associate Directors, cultivating leadership capacity, and building strong partnerships with government

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of experience in housing, homeless services, health care, behavioral health, public policy, social services, or related field.
• Five or more years of leadership experience, including managing teams and cross-system initiatives.
• Three or more years managing complex program budgets or multi-funder contracts; Medi‑Cal/CalAIM billing a plus.
• Experience with government agencies, health plans, community-based organizations, or external partners.
• Experience representing an organization in executive-level settings with government, health plans, or community partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Bay Area Housing Services portfolio, setting regional priorities.
• Oversee program performance, quality assurance, compliance, and resource utilization across multiple programs.
• Lead, coach, and develop Associate Directors with clear expectations and accountability.
• Establish performance benchmarks and use data to improve service delivery and address risks.
• Provide strategic oversight of program budgets, contracts, and financial performance in partnership with Finance and Contracts.
