Job summary

Bay Area Community Services (BACS) seeks a Chief Program Officer to lead agency‑wide program operations with full P&L accountability. This senior role partners with the CEO and executive team, oversees multiple sites, and ensures regulatory compliance across funding streams.

Ideal candidates have a decade of senior leadership, a relevant master’s degree, and a proven track record in behavioral health or housing services, with strong budget and HR acumen.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, healthcare administration, or related field.
• At least ten years of senior leadership in behavioral health, homelessness, or housing services.
• Experience operating at COO/CPO or equivalent executive level.

Responsibilities

• Lead agency-wide program operations alongside the CEO’s executive team.
• Own full P&L accountability across all funding streams and sites.
• Ensure services meet regulatory requirements and funding terms.
• Provide oversight and accountability for senior leaders and site management.
• Drive CQI and ensure contract and grant management excellence.
