Job summary

AAA Northeast is seeking a Battery Service Technician to support roadside service for AAA members. You will respond to service requests, assess safety, and perform battery tests, replacements, and minor repairs in the field.

You'll operate a Battery Service Vehicle, document diagnostics, and communicate clearly about battery health and options. A GED, 21+, valid driver's license, and post-secondary auto-tech training are required; DOT card pre-hire is needed.

Qualifications

• High School GED required; 21+ years old at minimum.
• Post-secondary auto-tech training preferred; electrical troubleshooting preferred.
• Active and valid driver’s license required; DOT card pre-hire may be required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to member requests for service with ETA and dispatch details.
• Assess safety of the scene on arrival and ensure vehicle location is safe.
• Greet members, manage emotional states, and provide reassurance as needed.
• Perform battery testing, diagnose electrical systems, and install batteries as needed.
• Provide jump starts, tire assistance, and minor mechanical help when trained.
• Maintain service vehicle, inventory, and documentation of diagnostics.
