Job summary

Panasonic Energy is expanding to De Soto, Kansas, seeking a Production Supervisor to lead 24/7 shift operations in a high-volume battery plant. You’ll drive Lean, 6S, and SQDCP metrics while ensuring safety, quality, and delivery targets.

The role emphasizes cross-functional problem solving and data‑driven decisions. You will coach a team of technicians, implement standardized work, and collaborate with engineering and HR to improve performance and engagement in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical discipline required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering preferred.
• Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) preferred.
• OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification preferred.
• 3+ years leadership in a high-volume, 24/7 manufacturing environment or 2+ years as PECNA Process Lead.
• Lean, 6S, and continuous improvement knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shift operations to meet production, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Ensure development and adherence to Standardized Work Instructions (SWIs).
• Plan and assign schedules, tasks, and priorities for the team.
• Drive Lean and 6S initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Participate in PFMEA and risk mitigation with Process Engineers.
• Train and onboard new employees on SOPs and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with HR and leadership on employee relations and performance issues.
