Job summary

Award Staffing is seeking a Battery Charger Assembly technician for our Delano, MN location. The role is 1st shift, Mon–Thu 7AM–5PM, temp to hire, with a pay rate of $20.00–$21.50 per hour. Ideal candidates have a technical background, tool experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities include assembling sheet metal components, installing circuit boards, and performing basic testing to ensure quality. On-the-job training and a safe, team-oriented environment are provided.

Qualifications

• Technical background required.
• Experience reading and interpreting assembly drawings preferred.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and precision.
• Basic computer skills needed.
• 6 months to 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• On-the-job training provided for the right candidate.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Build small to medium assemblies following work instructions, drawings and procedures.
• Install circuit boards into sheet metal housings with accuracy.
• Perform basic testing of completed assemblies to verify proper function and quality.
• Inspect parts and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Use measuring tools and follow specifications to complete assemblies correctly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following safety procedures.
• Work with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals.
• Learn new assembly processes and product lines through hands-on training provided by the company.
