Job summary

Exoben Inc. is seeking a Degradation & Lifecycle Scientist to lead the study of battery aging across Exoben’s platforms. You will identify factors driving performance loss and translate findings into practical improvements for battery design and operation.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience in lithium-ion and sodium-ion aging, and the ability to collaborate with electrochemists, materials scientists and engineers to validate models and lifecycle strategies.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical, detail-oriented and research-driven capabilities.
  • Ability to connect laboratory findings with real-world performance.
  • Experience in battery degradation analysis or lifecycle studies.
  • Familiarity with lithium-ion and sodium-ion degradation mechanisms.

Responsibilities

  • Study degradation mechanisms in lithium-ion and sodium-ion batteries.
  • Analyze capacity fade, internal resistance growth and performance decline.
  • Design experiments to simulate long-term battery usage.
  • Collaborate with electrochemists, materials scientists and engineering teams to implement lifecycle improvements.
  • Contribute to predictive models for battery aging.
