Job summary

Amrize is hiring a Batch Plant Operator RMX for the Greenwell Springs RMX in LA. The role focuses on producing high-quality concrete on schedule, meeting strict specifications, and supporting production crews.

You’ll batch concrete per designs, perform routine maintenance, manage deliveries, and communicate with drivers to ensure accurate, timely orders. A strong safety mindset and ability to work overtime are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of related customer service or dispatch experience.
• Working knowledge of dispatch systems, PC, telephone and headset.
• Basic computer and mathematics skills.
• Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
• Ability to climb on equipment, stairs and ladders as needed.
• Walk on all surfaces (uneven/slippery).
• Work in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to work overtime including Saturdays and overnights.

Responsibilities

• Batch concrete efficiently using computer or manual controls and adjust as directed by Quality Control.
• Perform daily plant maintenance and minor adjustments.
• Complete customer orders, schedules deliveries, paperwork, and light maintenance.
• Communicate with drivers to complete orders efficiently.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and multi-task effectively.
• Interact with internal and external customers professionally.
• Coordinate with team to optimize productivity and efficiency.
• Conduct daily inspections of plant and equipment.
• Report unsafe conditions to supervisor and follow safety policies.
