Job summary

Ultipro is seeking a Concrete Batch Plant Operator for the 1st shift in Grandville, MI. You will oversee the concrete mixing process, ensure accurate weighing and blending of cement, sand, aggregate and water, and uphold quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include operating the batching system, performing quality checks, maintaining equipment, managing materials, recording production data, and coordinating with dispatch and QC teams.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
• Strong math skills for accurate batch proportionality.
• Attention to detail to ensure precise measurements.
• Physical ability for manual tasks and inspections.
• Familiarity with computer-controlled batching systems.
• Clear communication with dispatch and QC teams.

Responsibilities

• Operating the batching system to weigh and dispense ingredients.
• Quality control through regular slump tests and specs checks.
• Maintaining batch plant equipment and performing light repairs.
• Managing raw material levels and coordinating deliveries.
• Documenting production data, batch numbers, and designs.
• Troubleshooting operational issues affecting quality or output.
• Adhering to safety procedures and ensuring safe plant operation.
