Job summary

Ultipro is seeking a Concrete Batch Plant Operator for the 1st shift in Grandville, MI. You will oversee the concrete mixing process, ensure accurate weighing and blending of cement, sand, aggregate and water, and uphold quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include operating the batching system, performing quality checks, maintaining equipment, managing materials, recording production data, and coordinating with dispatch and QC teams.

Concrete batch operator is responsible for overseeing the operation of a concrete mixing plant, ensuring the production of high-quality concrete by accurately weighing and combining ingredients like cement, sand, aggregate, and water according to specified mix designs, while maintaining proper equipment function and performing routine maintenance checks to guarantee consistent production and quality control.

Key responsibilities of a batch plant operator include:

• Operating the batching system: Managing the computer-controlled system to accurately weigh and dispense ingredients into the mixer based on customer orders and mix designs.
• Quality control: Regularly testing concrete samples to verify slump and other quality parameters meet specifications.
• Maintaining equipment: Performing routine inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs on the batch plant machinery, including conveyors, feeders, and mixers.
• Inventory management: Monitoring raw material levels in storage bins and coordinating deliveries to maintain adequate supplies.
• Recordkeeping: Documenting production data, including batch numbers, mix designs, and quality control results.
