Job summary

RPM Industrial Coatings Group in Hudson, NC is seeking MRT Batch Makers to mix solvents and dry chemicals according to batch tickets and maintain quality. You will weigh ingredients, monitor equipment, test batches, and keep detailed batch records.

No previous experience is required for this role, though manufacturing experience in filling is preferred. The position operates in a paint manufacturing facility with standard PPE and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Good math and measurement skills required.
• Basic reading and comprehension skills required.
• Reasoning ability to follow batch instructions.
• Ability to determine correct processes for stain batch making as trained.
• Ability to work without continuous supervision on assigned projects.

Responsibilities

• Weigh and measure quantities of ingredients in proper sequence and proportions.
• Tend mixing or compounding equipment and control time, heat, color or other variables.
• Possibly perform blending, filtration, drying, grinding or related operations.
• Test batches according to prescribed procedures and specifications.
• Maintain batch records including weight, time, color, heat and production data.
• Take products to QA Lab for QC checks and make adjustments as needed.
• Keep the work area neat and orderly.
