Job summary

UPS is seeking Building and Systems Engineering (BaSE) Mechanics in Wisconsin. You will perform maintenance to keep a package handling facility operating efficiently in a fast-paced, 24x7 environment, with shifts on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd.

You'll troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, weld as needed, and conduct preventive maintenance. UPS offers weekly pay, 401(k), medical/dental/vision benefits, paid time off, and an employee stock purchase plan.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National or authorized to work in the U.S.
• Strong electrical background and must pass electrical assessment.
• Availability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift in a 24x7 operation.
• Experience with troubleshooting/maintaining electrical and mechanical systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, adjust, and replace AC and DC electrical equipment (batteries, control stations, fuses, motor starters, relays, switches, timers, servo equipment, sensors, VFDs, encoders).
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair mechanical components (motors, conveyors, belts, pulleys, rollers).
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair pneumatic equipment (diverters, hoses, coils).
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair hydraulic equipment (hoses, fittings, cylinders, pumps).
• Weld equipment and structures as defined by scope of work.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections of plant equipment.
