Job summary

UPS is hiring Building and Systems Engineering Mechanics to maintain package handling facilities. The role requires strong electrical knowledge, the ability to pass an electrical assessment, and availability for 1st/2nd/3rd shifts in a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; welding supports; and conducting preventive maintenance on conveyors and related equipment.

Qualifications

• Must have strong electrical background and pass electrical assessment.
• Ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift in a 24 x 7 operation.
• Maintenance of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, adjusting, and replacing AC and DC electrical equipment and components.
• Inspecting, repairing, and replacing motors, conveyors, belts, bearings, and transfer plates.
• Inspecting, repairing pneumatic equipment such as diverters and hoses.
• Inspecting, repairing hydraulic equipment such as hoses and cylinders.
• Welding of structural components and supports as required.
• Performing preventive maintenance inspections on plant equipment.
