Job summary

UPS is seeking BaSE Mechanics to perform maintenance in a fast-paced package handling facility. The role requires strong electrical background and will operate on the 3rd shift, Monday through Friday in a 24x7 environment. You will troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to ensure continuous operation.

Starting pay is $40.25/hr with progression to $47.35/hr after one year. Benefits include weekly pay, extensive training, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Must have a strong electrical background and be able to pass an electrical assessment.
• Able to work night shift (3rd shift), Mon-Fri in a 24x7 operation.
• Troubleshoot, adjust, and replace AC/DC electrical equipment and related components.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, adjust, and replace AC and DC electrical equipment (batteries, control stations, fuses, motor starters, relays, switches, timers, servo-driven devices, sensors, VFDs, encoders).
• Inspect and repair mechanical components (motors, belts, pulleys, rollers, conveyors, bearings).
• Inspect and repair pneumatic equipment (diverters, hoses, coils).
• Inspect and repair hydraulic equipment (hoses, fittings, cylinders).
• Weld equipment as needed for rails, supports, and conveyors.
• Perform preventive maintenance on conveyors and plant equipment.
