Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Sales Engineer for building automation and HVAC controls in Austin, TX. The role combines technical BAS knowledge with business development, estimating, and customer relationship management to secure installation, retrofit, and service projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in building automation or HVAC controls sales.
• Strong BAS/DDC and HVAC systems knowledge.
• Experience estimating, designing, or supporting controls projects.
• Able to read drawings and specifications.
• Excellent customer-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop new opportunities for BAS, HVAC and retrofit projects.
• Build relationships with contractors and facility managers.
• Review plans, sequences of operation, and controls requirements.
• Prepare estimates, scopes, proposals, and presentations.
• Present solutions to customers and negotiate terms.
• Maintain sales pipeline and provide forecasts.
• Coordinate with engineering and operations teams.
• Ensure smooth transition from award to execution.
• Develop long-term customer relationships.
