Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Building Automation Systems Design Engineer in the Atlanta metro area to create innovative BAS solutions for commercial facilities. You will design DDC systems from concept through construction, collaborating with project managers, programmers, and field technicians to deliver energy-efficient building automation.

The role requires design experience in commercial BAS/HVAC controls, knowledge of HVAC equipment, and familiarity with BACnet/Modbus networks.

Qualifications

• Experience designing or engineering commercial BAS/HVAC controls.
• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment and DDC controls.
• Experience with BAS platforms (see job text).
• Familiarity with BACnet and Modbus networks.
• Visio or AutoCAD experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design BAS/DDC systems for commercial HVAC applications.
• Develop control sequences, point lists, network architecture, and drawings.
• Engineer control solutions for AHUs, VAVs, chillers, boilers, and pumps.
• Generate submittals, panel layouts, and project documentation.
• Review mechanical plans to ensure accurate system design.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, and field teams.
• Support system integrations using BACnet, Modbus, and other protocols.
