Job summary

LONG Building Technologies, Inc. seeks a DDC/BAS Controls Technician I for new construction projects in Littleton, CO.

You will troubleshoot and program temperature control systems for commercial HVAC applications, perform installation, warranty, and emergency procedures, and support project-based commissioning. You will program databases, calibrate systems to meet sequences of operation, and create graphical interfaces while training customer personnel.

Qualifications

• 1 year temperature control start-up, checkout, and service experience.
• Ability to legally drive a company vehicle.
• High aptitude for computer or mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC, BAS, electrical systems, energy management, and construction procedures.
• Programming and troubleshooting with KMC, Distech, Tridium/Honeywell and similar systems.
• Strong analytical skills for software/integration challenges.
• Ability to read mechanical plans/specifications.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and take responsibility.
• Strong customer service and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Program databases for all supported systems per sequence of operation and vendor specs.
• Calibrate and checkout control systems to meet commissioning obligations.
• Create control graphics and provide GUI labor for LONG standards/contract documents.
• Instruct customer personnel on operation/maintenance of temperature control systems.
• Update drawings and maintain equipment records for as-built documentation.
• Inform service sales manager of additional sales potential and assist with start-up, commissioning, and owner training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
