Job summary

Capstone Mechanical, LP. is seeking a Control System Technician to program, start-up, troubleshoot, and service Building Automation Systems (BAS) for commercial HVAC equipment.

The role emphasizes strong communication, workmanship quality, and timely completion of tasks under the supervision of the General Manager and Project Manager. Responsibilities include field level control service and installation of DDC systems, wiring terminations, commissioning, and interpreting drawings.

Qualifications

• CT E1 Masters or E2 Journeypersons License required.
• 2–5 years HVAC controls experience.
• Experience with Honeywell, Distech and Johnson Controls preferred.
• Valid Driver License.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
• Ability to work on a team and communicate effectively with others.

Responsibilities

• Field level control service and installation of DDC systems.
• Install, commission, troubleshoot, and service control components related to DDC Systems.
• Perform field controller installation and replacement including demo and wire termination.
• Complete project checkout including point to point commissioning.
• Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings to determine wiring terminations.
• Keeps management apprised of job progress and issues.
• Complete administrative tasks such as documenting and filing out service reports.
