LONG Building Technologies, Inc. is seeking a DDC Controls Service Technician I in Colorado Springs to support customers by troubleshooting and programming temperature control systems, performing emergency and preventive maintenance, and ensuring commissioning requirements are met.

The role involves inspections, software updates, and collaborating with customers to resolve technical issues while upholding LONG standards and safety practices. On-call work may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to legally operate a company vehicle
• Aptitude for computers or mechanical equipment and willingness to learn
• Strong analytical skills in solving software and integration challenges
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical plans and specs
• Ability to multitask and assume responsibility and accountability
• Strong customer service and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Provide inspections and assessments of control systems for damage, wear, and degradation
• Perform preventative maintenance including cleaning, part replacements, software updates, and system optimizations
• Troubleshoot system issues and implement effective solutions
• Communicate with customers to answer inquiries, provide guidance, and resolve technical issues
• Educate system users on operation and upkeep of temperature control systems
• Inform customers about necessary replacements or repairs essential to devices
• Maintain records of repairs and report issues to the supervisor
• Modify databases for supported systems per LONG standards and docs
• Calibrate and checkout control systems ensuring operations and commissioning requirements
• Instruct customer personnel on operation and energy conservation routines
• Update drawings and submit redlined drafts to engineers
• On-call work may be required periodically
• Other duties as team offerings evolve
