Job summary

LONG Building Technologies, Inc. in Littleton, CO, is seeking an HVAC Controls Technician II to troubleshoot and program temperature control systems per project specs; you will install, support warranty, and mentor apprentices on site.

You should bring 2 years of tech degree plus 1 year startup/service or 3–5 years experience; familiarity with KMC/Distech/Tridium/Honeywell; strong analytical and customer service skills; excellent knowledge of HVAC and building automation.

Qualifications

• 2 years technical degree with 1 year startup/service experience or 3–5 years startup/service experience.
• Proficient programming and troubleshooting with KMC, Distech, Tridium/Honeywell.
• Strong analytical skills for software and integration challenges.
• Ability to interpret mechanical plans and specifications.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC, building automation, electrical systems.
• Ability to multitask and assume responsibility.
• Strong customer service and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Program databases for all supported systems to meet sequences of operation per specs.
• Calibrate and checkout control systems and ensure commissioning obligations are met.
• Create control graphics per LONG standards and provide GUIs for projects.
• Instruct customer personnel on operation and maintenance of systems.
• Update drawings and keep as-built equipment records.
• Advise service sales on additional opportunities and solicit contracts.
• Guide controls apprentices on jobsites and supervise tasks.
• Work independently to complete required tasks on site.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during project sequences.
• Other duties assigned.
