Job summary

Midwest Applied Solutions is seeking a BAS Controls Systems Service Technician to help customers keep their building automation systems running efficiently across multiple sites in Illinois. You will join a team to startup, commission, troubleshoot, repair and improve systems at existing customer sites, retrofit projects and new construction sites.

The role emphasizes problem solving, safety, and clear communication with customers.

Qualifications

• HVAC, electrical, controls or building automation experience.
• Familiarity with Niagara N4, Honeywell WEBs, or other control systems.
• Knowledge of BACnet, LonWorks, Modbus, or IP networks.
• Ability to read plans, submittal drawings, or wiring diagrams.
• Trade school training, military technical training, or relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with customers and communicate clearly about your work.
• Help diagnose system issues and perform repairs, adjustments, or component replacements.
• Perform preventive maintenance and verify that systems operate as intended.
• Assist with system checkout, startup, commissioning, and upgrades.
• Learn to create and modify BAS graphics and programming, including Niagara.
• Identify opportunities to improve building operations and energy efficiency.
• Document work and follow through on customer needs.
