Job summary

SGS Consulting seeks an experienced BAS/HVAC technician to install, commission, and service building automation systems. You will perform preventative maintenance, calibrations, and diagnostics to ensure optimum performance and safety of HVAC controls.

Candidates should have 3–6 years in BAS/HVAC controls, controls commissioning, or PLC programming, with technical certifications and strong problem-solving skills. On-site roles require traveling to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in HVAC systems, electrical systems, and computer networking.
• Previous experience in BAS or related fields.
• Relevant certifications in HVAC, electrical systems, or BAS technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to provide service and repair solutions.
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and QC.
• Document recommended repairs and completion of repairs.
• On-call rotation.
• NW Commissioning, construction PTP, FPT commissioning as needed.
• Install and commission BAS systems, ensuring all components are integrated and functioning.
• Maintenance and troubleshooting: perform regular maintenance and troubleshoot BAS components.
• Software Management: download, update, and verify BAS software.
• Calibration and testing: calibrate and test HVAC systems and controls to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitoring and diagnostics: monitor BAS components for efficiency and safety, and provide diagnostics and repairs as needed.
• Staying in compliance with company-required trainings.
