Job summary

Precision Control Systems, Inc. in Northwest Indiana seeks a Building Automation Systems Programming Technician to join our team, focusing on programming, commissioning, and servicing commercial BAS.

You will develop controller logic, load programs on site, and ensure systems operate correctly at customer sites. The role involves troubleshooting networking topologies and providing on-site training and ongoing technical support.

Qualifications

• Graduate with a Certificate Program in Building Automation or equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive or help design engineered drawings for new and existing projects.
• Interpret and comply with intended sequence to program and implement control strategy.
• Develop controller logic and graphical interface for building automation control systems for owner facilities.
• Load programs in controllers and ensure systems working properly on customer sites.
• Understand and troubleshoot networking topologies, Ethernet, Lonworks, and BACnet.
• Ability to correctly diagnose and repair system problems.
• Mark-up as-built control drawings and wiring diagram changes that were necessary.
• Provide training of the control system to the customer.
• Provide service and technical support on new or existing systems.
• Manage customer service relationships and expectations.
