Job summary

Daikin Applied seeks a full-time Controls Technician I - Installation to install and service building digital control systems onsite in Alabama. You will install wiring, sensors and conduits for direct digital control systems, troubleshoot issues, and maintain accurate records while delivering responsive customer service.

You will participate in on-the-job and formal training, earn OSHA 10 credentials, and work with Daikin branded or third‑party BAS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Technical training and 0-2 years of equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
• Rotational Emergency Call Support as required.
• Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district.
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive and professional customer service with the goal of building and maintaining long-term customer relationships
• Install wiring and sensors for direct digital control systems
• Ensure that conduit, wiring, and sensors are installed correctly
• Troubleshoot any issues that would prevent proper functioning of wires or sensors
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, and other articles as required and in a timely manner
• Interact with customers by offering status reports
• Participate in available training through regional technician trainers, off-site learning modules, and Daikin Learning. Maintain all required certifications and continue to develop new skill sets
• Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are always upheld
• Follow all OSHA and Daikin Applied safety policies and procedures
