Job summary

Daikin Applied is hiring a Controls Technician I - Installation to install and service commercial BAS control systems in Huntsville, AL, with onsite work across Huntsville, Birmingham, or Montgomery. You will install wiring, sensors, and conduit, perform troubleshooting, and maintain safety and training standards.

The role emphasizes customer relation skills, documentation of work and time, and ongoing certification through Daikin Learning.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Technical training and 0-2 years of equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Rotational Emergency Call Support as required.
• Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district.
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive and professional customer service with the goal of building and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
• Install wiring and sensors for direct digital control systems.
• Ensure that conduit, wiring, and sensors are installed correctly.
• Troubleshoot any issues that would prevent proper functioning of wires or sensors.
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, and other articles as required and in a timely manner.
• Interact with customers by offering status reports.
• Participate in available training through regional technician trainers, off-site learning modules, and Daikin Learning. Maintain all required certifications and continue to develop new skill sets.
• Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are always upheld.
• Follow all OSHA and Daikin Applied safety policies and procedures.
