Job summary

LAUKOA seeks an Engineer / BAS Controls Technician to support Fort Meade operations. You will operate, monitor, diagnose, and maintain BAS; manage DDC, energy management systems, and related facility controls in Government facilities to ensure reliable operations.

The role requires coordinating with HVAC mechanics and other trades, reviewing trends, and assisting commissioning. A TS/SCI security clearance is required for this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience with BAS, DDC, or energy management systems.
• Experience supporting BAS/DDC in government or secured facilities is preferred.
• OEM training or certifications for BAS/DDC/SCADA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and repair BAS, DDC, and energy management systems.
• Monitor facility temperatures, humidity, alarms, and equipment performance.
• Perform diagnostics, testing, calibration, and operational checks.
• Troubleshoot alarms, sensors, actuators, and control sequences.
• Coordinate with HVAC, electrical, and other trades to resolve issues.
• Document work orders, test results, and corrective actions in CMMS.
• Assist commissioning, recommissioning, start-up, and functional testing of systems.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and comply with security requirements.
