Job summary

Amentum in Springfield, VA is seeking a BAS Operator/Controls Technician to support a mission-critical customer. This role requires U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret security clearance.

You will diagnose and repair building control systems, calibrate sensors, tune sequences of operation, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure occupant comfort and energy management. Strong communication with occupants is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; ability to read and write at required level.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in building controls and automation.
• Certification as a building automation system operator (e.g., APOGEE; BACnet) or relevant licenses.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair building control systems.
• Maintain set-points, schedules, and sequences of operation.
• Perform point-to-point checks, sensor calibration, and software backups.
• Ensure occupancy comfort and energy management through controls optimization.
• Interact with occupants in person and by phone to address concerns.
