Job Overview

The Portland Regency Hotel & Spa, a Historic Hotel of America located in Portland's Old Port District, is seeking Bartenders/Servers to join our team. Schedule: four days a week, approximately 25-35 hours, including nights, days, weekends, and holidays. Responsibilities

1. Greet guests professionally and serve cocktails and light fare efficiently and courteously.
2. Know drink recipes, product details, and presentation standards.
3. Handle cash, credit, and room charge transactions accurately.
4. Monitor guest alcohol consumption and prevent over-serving.
5. Address guest complaints politely and escalate to management when necessary.
6. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lounge, bar, and back workstation.
7. Perform other duties as assigned, including training new employees and adhering to liquor laws.
8. Practice safe food service procedures and become proficient with the computer system used.
9. Attend scheduled meetings and participate in ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform math calculations and understand safety and procedural instructions.
• TIPS Certification required.
• High school diploma or GED, or 1-year related experience.
• Effective communication skills and upper-level moderate English proficiency.
