Job summary

Palette Hotels is seeking a Bartender to serve beverages and/or food to guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner. The role includes preparing drinks for other servers and acting as cashier for the lounge.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, bartending experience, knowledge of beverage preparation, and the ability to follow liquor regulations. Palette Hotels offers competitive salaries and a team-based culture.

Qualifications

• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages. Liquor certification if required by the state or local government.
• Service orientation. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
• Bartending experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis.
• Responsible for maintaining stock, preparing and storing of all garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality.
• Greets guests in courteous and friendly manner.
• Promotes and documents orders for drinks.
• Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest, including those served by other beverage servers.
• Processes all payments for beverage purchases and ensures accuracy of said payments in order to balance all monies.
• Locks up and stores all beverage, food, and other equipment items.
• Deposits cash drops and secures bank.
• Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to Health Department regulations.
• Must be aware of and adhere to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
