Job summary

Palette Hotels in Nyack, NY is seeking a friendly Bartender to serve beverages and food, prepare drinks for servers, and act as cashier for the lounge. You will maintain bar setup, stock, and garnish prep, greet guests, take and record orders, handle payments, and uphold liquor regulations while delivering a positive guest experience.

You will be responsible for bar stock, garnishes and perishables, cash handling, and ensuring health and safety compliance in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate.
• Bartending experience required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis.
• Responsible for maintaining stock, preparing and storing garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality.
• Greets guests in courteous and friendly manner.
• Promotes and documents orders for drinks.
• Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest.
• Processes all payments for beverage purchases and balances cash as needed.
• Locks up and stores all beverage, food, and other equipment items.
• Deposits cash drops and secures bank.
• Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to Health Department regulations.
• Adheres to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
