Job summary

Wet Willie's in Arlington, Texas is seeking an experienced bartender to deliver exceptional service and beverage offerings. As the cultural ambassador of our globally inspired menu, you will ensure drink quality and create a vibrant experience for all guests.

You'll be responsible for maintaining a clean work area, verifying age for alcohol purchases, and maximizing guest satisfaction through excellent service. Candidates must have a high school diploma and at least one year of bartending experience.

As an experienced bartender you are the cultural and experience ambassadors of PALETTE 22's globally inspired menus and beverage offerings, where everything is made from scratch and the vibe is fun, friendly, energetic, and creative. The small-plates style of service offers guests everything from empanadas and tacos to pizzas, flatbreads, and street food from around the world. An intensive training program with our expert trainers will help you maximize your potential for great shifts

You will ensure consistent drink quality by preparing orders in a short period of time and in accordance with recipes and guidelines established by the Food and Beverage department. You will also maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area in a fast paced environment, while providing superior guest service.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Greet guests in a timely and professional manner
• Ensure every guest has a "wow" experience
• Verify guests that purchase alcohol are at least 21 years of age
• Possess full knowledge of bar and menu items and be able to make recommendations
• Guide the guests through the menu and unique experience
• Pass secret shopper reports with a 90% or above
• Accurately take food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner at the bar and lounge area
• Deliver food and beverage orders within established time frames
• Consistently use suggestive selling techniques
• Ensure that alcohol is consumed responsibly in designated areas only
• Set up and maintain appropriate stock levels for the bar
• Assist Managers in placing orders for all liquor and bar related supplies

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Obtain any necessary alcohol service licensing requirements
• Minimum of 1 year of experience operating a full service bar
• Strong knowledge of alcohol mixology, drink menus and classic cocktail preparation
• Ability to stand on feet for an extended period of time
• Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment
• Excellent customer service skills with strong ability to interact with guests
• Verbal communication skills, and accurate math and cash handling skills
