Job summary

The Village Dallas's Anise wine bar is seeking a bartender to create memorable beverage experiences for guests in a fast-paced, upscale setting. You will learn guests’ preferences, craft original drinks, and deliver signature beverages with professionalism and warmth.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of upscale bartending, current TABC and Food Handler certifications, and a passion for wine, beer, and craft cocktails. Flexible scheduling, nights/weekends, and team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or related preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years experience bartending in an upscale dining environment.
• Current TABC and Food Handler’s certification.
• Exhibit elevated food, wine, and beverage knowledge.
• Ability to utilize jiggers for measured pours and follow precise cocktail recipes.
• Knowledge of POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a consistently high level of guest service. Give unobtrusive, knowledgeable, and genuine service to every guest, every time.
• Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company standards in an efficient manner
• Possessing and utilizing knowledge of all offered restaurant menus
• Keep bar area clean in accordance with the company’s guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health department
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the shift and be able to account for any and all discrepancies
• Develop an efficient work pace that keeps the guests at the bar and in the dining room satisfied at all times
• Must work in partnership with servers to deliver a seamless guest experience

JOB SUMMARY

A bartender at Anise creates unique experiences for our guests that center around the simple enjoyment of a well-crafted beverage. Bartenders are fun and professional individuals who thrive in an upbeat, fast-paced work environment and exhibit a passion for craft cocktails, local beer, chef driven food, and great guest service. This role includes but is not limited to learning guests’ preferences, crafting original drink experiences, and expertly delivering signature beverages.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or related preferred
• Minimum 2+ years experience bartending in an upscale dining environment
• Current TABC and Food Handler’s certification

• Ability to utilize jiggers for measured pours and follow precise cocktail recipes
• Knowledge of POS systems

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment and supplies up to fifty (50) pounds
• Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
