Job summary

Ancho & Agave in Middleton, WI is hiring bartenders to create a great beverage experience for guests. The right candidate will have strong customer service, be a clear communicator, and work well with the team to deliver friendly, efficient service.

Responsibilities include preparing drinks, taking orders, serving with a smile, handling payments, and maintaining sanitation. Flexible weekends and holidays are required, with base pay plus tips.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Bartender in a high-volume setting.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Valid alcohol certification.
• Following recipes, including measuring and mixing ingredients.
• Preparing ingredients for service, including cutting, peeling, stuffing, etc.
• Labeling & stocking bar ingredients & garnishes.
• Operating equipment and bladed tools following safety standards.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written).
• Elevated knowledge of wine, spirits and beer.
• Experience serving food. Ability to describe & make menu recommendations.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills.
• Basic bookkeeping knowledge.
• Working knowledge of point-of-sale systems.
• High level of stamina to work on feet for extended periods.
• Maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.
• Executing opening and closing procedures.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages for bar patrons and restaurant guests.
• Interacting with customers and taking food & drink orders.
• Serve guests with a warm, friendly smile and provide menu recommendations.
• Handle cash and credit payments and report to management.
• Clean, sanitize and perform side work as part of the team.

• Salary Range: $2.33 - $2.33 hourly

Responsibilities

Bartender responsibilities include but are not limited to preparing alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages for bar patrons and restaurant guests, interacting with customers, taking food & drink orders, serving guests with a warm, friendly smile, guest retention, cleaning, sanitizing, side work, teamwork of all varieties, reporting thoroughly to management, being responsible for cash and credit payments, etc.
