Job summary

Ancho & Agave in Naperville, IL is seeking a Bartender to craft drinks and deliver a warm guest experience in a fast-paced setting. This part-time role requires friendly, hardworking, team-oriented individuals with beverage service experience.

Responsibilities include preparing beverages, taking orders, serving guests, handling payments, and keeping the bar clean. Candidates should have English communication skills, be able to lift up to 25 lbs, and hold a valid alcohol certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Bartender in a high-volume setting.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Valid alcohol certification.
• Following recipes, including measuring and mixing ingredients.
• Experience serving food and describing menu recommendations.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written).
• High level of stamina to work on feet for extended periods.

• Interact with customers, take food & drink orders, and serve guests with a warm, friendly smile.
• Manage cash and credit payments and report thoroughly to management.

Ancho & Agave is hiring Bartenders to help us create an incredible food & beverage experience for our guests. If you love serving people and know how to "wow" with your customer service...we want you to be on our team!

Applicants must be friendly, hardworking, team-oriented, and honest with strong beverage service experience. Must be available to work consistently, always have a positive attitude and be an excellent communicator.

Bartender responsibilities include but are not limited to preparing alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages for bar patrons and restaurant guests, interacting with customers, taking food & drink orders, serving guests with a warm, friendly smile, guest retention, cleaning, sanitizing, side work, teamwork of all varieties, reporting thoroughly to management, being responsible for cash and credit payments, etc.

Bartender Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Bartender in a high-volume setting, preferred.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Valid alcohol certification.
• Following recipes, including measuring and mixing ingredients.
• Preparing ingredients for service, including cutting, peeling, stuffing, etc.
• Labeling & stocking all bar ingredients & garnishes so they are organized & easily accessible.
• Operating equipment and bladed tools following safety standards.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written).
• Elevated knowledge of wine, spirits and beer.
• Experience serving food. Ability to describe & make menu recommendations.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills.
• Basic bookkeeping knowledge.
• Working knowledge of point-of-sale systems.
• High level of stamina to work on feet for extended periods.
• Maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.
• Executing opening and closing procedures.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
