Job summary

Minimum qualifications include experience mixing drinks, recognizing intoxicated patrons, and cash handling, with physical requirements for standing and lifting. One year of bartender experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale; bartender training may substitute for experience.
• Experience recognizing intoxicated or unruly patrons and resolving issues.
• Experience following proper cash handling procedures.
• Able to stoop, stand, walk for long periods; able to lift 5–40 lbs as needed.
• Must meet minimum age for serving alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.
• Serve patrons directly or via wait staff; handle payments and cash register tasks.
• Set up bar, maintain sanitation and stock; ensure orderly work area.
• Complete required alcohol-service training and annual refresher training.
• Identify unruly patrons and follow procedures to resolve issues; monitor safety.
