Job summary

USCG Base Cape Cod MWR in New London, CT is seeking a Bartender-03 to mix and serve a variety of alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks. You will set up the bar, maintain stock, and ensure a clean, safe work area while delivering excellent service to patrons.

You must have bartending experience or completed a bartender training program, be able to recognize intoxicated patrons, and handle cash accurately. This is a full-time position with a focus on reliability and customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum: experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale or completion of bartender training school.
• Must recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and know when to seek assistance.
• Experience following proper cash handling procedures.
• Must be able to stoop, stand, and walk for long periods; lift up to 40 pounds.
• Must meet minimum age requirement for serving alcoholic beverages.

Responsibilities

• Mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.
• Set up bar for operation and maintain stock levels.
• Operate cash register and handle payments; deliver to wait staff as needed.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary bar area and equipment; assist higher level staff when required.
• Complete required training and observe safety procedures.
