Job summary

The Coast Guard Exchange (USCGCSC) in Kodiak, AK is hiring a Bartender-03 to mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages in a fast-paced setting. You will set up the bar, maintain sanitation, manage stock, and assist higher level bartenders.

This intermittent position requires reliability and the ability to handle cash transactions and customer service tasks. Required experience includes mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale or completion of bartender training, ability to recognize

Qualifications

• Experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale.
• Ability to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and resolve the issue.
• Ability to follow proper cash handling procedures.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Must meet the minimum age requirement for serving alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.
• Set up bar and maintain sanitary, presentable work area.
• Manage stock levels and assist higher level bartender as needed.
• Handle payments and operate the cash register.
• Complete required training and comply with safety procedures.
