Job summary

North Star American Bistro is seeking an experienced evening bartender to join our seasoned team in Brookfield, WI. You will craft cocktails, suggest food and beverage pairings, and maintain a clean, organized bar. The role emphasizes hospitality and guest experience in a lively, upscale-casual setting.

Requirements include 2+ years in a high-volume environment, flexibility to work three shifts (Mon–Sat, 3:00pm–10:00pm), and a strong customer-service mindset with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of bartending or serving in a high-volume restaurant.
• Availability to work three shifts (Mon–Sat) from 3:00pm to 10:00pm.
• Demonstrate punctuality and reliability.
• Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage with a willingness to learn.
• Strong attention to detail when taking orders and using the POS.

Responsibilities

• Create consistent cocktails and provide thoughtful beverage recommendations.
• Input orders accurately into the POS and ensure correct preparation.
• Maintain a clean, well-organised bar space and station readiness.

North Star American Bistro is looking to add an experienced evening bartender, passionate about hospitality and dedicated to providing the best guest experience, to join our already seasoned team. As a qualified bartender, you will be able to create consistent cocktails, and provide thoughtful food and beverage recommendations to customers, while keeping a clean and well-organised space.

Position Requirements:

• 2+ years of previous bartending or serving experience in a high-volume restaurant


• Must have, at minimum, availability to work three shifts (Monday through Saturday) from 3:00pm to 10:00pm


• Demonstrate consistency in punctuality and reliability


• Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage, with a commitment to continue learning


• Strong attention to detail to accurately take orders, input them into the POS system and ensure orders are prepared and served correctly


• Excellent customer service, including strong communication skills, attentiveness to customer needs, and the ability to handle various requests quickly and appropriately

We offer a flexible schedule for full-time and part-time employees. We are also closed every Sunday and most holidays. Benefits are available for full-time employees (32+ hours per week).
