Job summary

Illini Country Club is seeking an experienced Bartender to join our upscale club environment. The role focuses on preparing and serving beverages, engaging with members, and maintaining a well-organized bar area to deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities include handling orders, guiding beverage selections, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while delivering a welcoming, professional experience for guests and members.

Qualifications

• Exhibit a working knowledge of bar equipment, standard drink recipes, and spirits, wine and beer.
• Understand classes of alcohol, different glasses, brand names, and garnishments.
• Demonstrate knowledge of state and local alcohol serving laws.
• Be able to stand, walk, reach, bend, etc. for extended periods of time.
• Have current Illinois’ food handler’s and BASSET certifications, or be willing to obtain those within seven (7) days of hire.

• Be able to stand, walk, reach, bend, etc. for extended periods of time.
• Be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Have basic math and computer skills.
• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends, and late hours.
• Have current Illinois’ food handler’s and BASSETT certifications, or be willing to obtain those within seven (7) days of hire.
