Job summary

St Johns Golf and Country Club in St. Augustine, FL, part of Troon’s hospitality portfolio, is seeking a part-time bartender to deliver beverage service and contribute to a high-quality guest experience at the property.

The bartender will service alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, maintain bar cleanliness, ensure legal compliance, and provide friendly, efficient service in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of bartending experience.
• Must be of legal age to serve liquor according to state law.
• Working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes.
• Strong customer/guest orientation and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
• Maintain bar supplies, glassware, and other bar needs.
• Keep bar area clean and sanitized; ensure compliance with beverage laws.
• Take and serve orders; collect payment for drinks.
• Greet guests and provide attentive, friendly service.
• Learn regular guests’ names and preferences.
• Monitor guest experience and adjust service accordingly.
• Ensure adequate bar stock and inventory before opening.

Compensation

$10.98 per hour

Summary

The Bartender is integral to the guest experience and provides beverage services (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to the guests of the property. The Bartender will service beverages at the facility and provide a high quality service-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional appearance at all times
• Maintains a supply of all bar products/supplies, including all glassware, expendable paper and other supplies
• Maintains the sanitation and cleanliness of the bar area(s), glassware and equipment
• Assures that all laws applicable to beverage operations are consistently followed
• Collects payment for drinks served
• Greets and provides immediate attention to guests
• Learn the names of regulars and personally recognize them
• Monitor guest experience and take appropriate action to assure the best customer service.
• Inspects the bar prior to opening to ensure adequate supplies and inventory are available
• Prepares garnishes, mixes and pre-mixed drinks
• Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned
• Adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies including confirming legal drinking age and discontinuing service to intoxicated guests
• Implement and support all course policies and programs as communicated by management
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
